This page is for your questions &/or requests. If you have a question about Apple, iOS, &/or your device, & it doesn’t fit with anything I’ve posted yet, this is the place to ask it. If I don’t know, I’ll try to find out. The only thing I don’t know anything about is Android/Blackberry/Windows 7 phones. Sorry, but I have to draw the line somewhere.

So, ask away! You can drop me a line at

  1. Hello Ms. Tracy,

I have read your “Children’s Books Get Different Spin With Interactive iOS eBook Apps” blog and I really love the apps you have mentioned in there. Luckily, I have tried to test the ” Rapunzel ~ 3D Interactive Pop-up Book” on a gadget store. I am kinda fond of children’s book apps too :D It always reminds me of my childhood days.

I have also encountered these apps from overactiveink. I might as well share it too.

Can you also try to make a review of it? :) It would really be cool. I saw their trailer in youtube too.. here:

I hope to hear your reply. Thank you~

    • I’ll try to take a look but I can’t make any promises right now as I’m very behind in reviews I want to do combined with reviews requested by readers and developers. But, thank you for the book tips. I’m always happy to find good apps.

  2. Hi I met your aunt today in an apple class and I am anxious to follow your blog. I was wondering if you know of an app that would work great for my business as an esthetics an and permanent makeup artist. I’m looking to keep client records and expenses. I had downloaded an app called Appointment Book and it was a waste of money. I can’t even rate it as it won’t let me. Even the apple employees couldn’t help. I hope you have a great idea for me. Thanks

    • Hi Kelly,

It’s nice to meet you. I cannot recall the name of the app that my hairdresser is using to run her business but I will check into it immediately and let you know what it is because she is pretty happy with it, I believe. It allows her to take payments, keep track of appointments, etc. I’ll let you know the name of it as soon as I can.

      • The name of the app my stylist has been using is Personal Salon Assistant. She had some trouble with it awhile back, but it seems like a pretty solid app. At my last appointment, I paid and made another appointment with her via the iPad and received an e-receipt from the app with no problems at all. She said the other app a lot of stylists are using is called MyChair, but that it is limited. I hope this helps. If you have any further questions or problems, don’t hesitate to ask!

    • I looked into whether or not Jixi Pix had released any of their other apps for Android, but it does not appear that they have done so in the past making it unlikely that they will do so in the future. They are extremely responsive developers though, and I would encourage you to contact them at to let them know of your interest in their apps for Android.

Unfortunately though, there is not as much money to be made in making apps for Android, according to a number of studies, which makes developers tend to be less interested in developing for Android. It is also difficult because of the fragmented system they must develop for. There are so many different (and wonderful) phones that run on Android that it is hard for developers to make an app that runs effectively on all of the phones.

I hope this answers your question, but if you need anything else, don’t hesitate to ask.
